Main fields
The Hildesheim branch of GBA Gesellschaft für Bioanalytik Hamburg mbH was founded in 1997 as P&W Analysen Direkt Dienst GmbH & Co. KG. GBA Gesellschaft für Bioanalytik Hamburg mbH acquired the majority shareholding in P&W Analysen Direkt Dienst GmbH & Co. KG in 2000 and latter company was fully integrated into GBA in 2006.
The laboratory’s main fields of analysis are testing samples of soil, water, refuse and air; all preparation of samples and chromatography (HPLC, GC) is performed on site. Throughout the analysis process – from initial request, to sample-taking to high quality yet speedy testing - we ensure that our customers receive individual care and attention from well-qualified staff and provide professional support for all issues connected with environmental analysis. Our view, indeed the GBA philosophy, is that we are a service provider whose chief asset is a satisfied and loyal customer base. The way business has developed in recent years confirms that this is the right strategy.
Currently 11 men and women work full time at Hildesheim, including six university graduates; three have degrees in chemistry, two in chemical engineering and one in bioengineering; there are two chemical laboratory assistants and two chemical laboratory workers.
Most of the Hildesheim laboratory’s customers are well-known engineering offices and industrial firms from the region, the Lower Saxony Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG) and local public companies. |
